LIGHT ENCOUNTERS
Light Encounters is one of the chapters of the research on How Art Comes Alive.
Through light, she makes space come alive. Light has no body, yet it takes up space; projected at the scale of architecture, an image becomes a presence. Nothing in the room is alive, and still we move with it. The viewer doesn't look at the work but walks into it, and the encounter happens between the light, the space and the body that enters it.

A performance researching the shifting states of sleep and the fragile threshold of dreaming. Seen through a semi-transparent sheet, two ghost-like performers suggest that dreaming is not rest but another form of disturbance, a place where we learn how strange we really are.

Circles of projected light meet Peter Blackfish's live set, a bold fusion of sounds that celebrates contamination, in dialogue between experimental research and cultural traditions.
