Have You Seen Paolo Miller?

After a series of meetings an idea was conceived capable of allowing many different identities to coexist in the same place. Paolo Miller was "created", a young man, artist, of Italian origin and around 35 years old, with whom each artist interacted differently and at various moments in their lives. Someone had a romantic relationship with him, another was his roommate or half sister, yet another studied art with him or met him in a psychological clinic.

The exhibition will consist of a retrospective of Paolo Miller and the works displayed will reconstruct his existence in a fragmentary way through the voices of the artists who knew him an the works that he left them. Being accompanied by a video with interviews of all the artists talking about their relationship with Paolo Miller.

The Sleepless

In the work Sleepless I take on the role of the flatmate of Paolo Miller. In the story, when looking for money (since he was behind on rent), I find undeveloped film with all the girls he had been sleeping with. I give him the characteristic of a sleep-deprived, insomnia-driven person who likes to keep souvenirs from his lovers. Emphasizing this intimacy found on these pictures by the small size and the fragile choice of material, enhancing furthermore by the choice of a spotlight. The exhibition “Have you seen Paolo Miller” is a collaboration between Isabella Vitale from pianobi, contemporary art project and the artists Giulia Vitiello, Alexandra Bittarova, Ximena Robles Gárate, Yelyzaveta Tarasenko, Alexandra Shukhobodskaya, Alina Zialionaya, Kira Protsenko, Alvi Östgård, Kateryna Sopelkina, Janneke Leenders of the Painting course held by the visual artist Caterina Silva. The exhibition is accompanied by a critical text written by the students Alex Aymerich, Lucy Henderson, Gloria Strauß of the Art Curating and Management course held by the curator and art critic Fabrizio Pizzuto.
